I would also be asking to keep a percentage of each job. But even with me keeping a percentage, whoever takes this offer, should be earning over 100K in their 2nd year and maybe sooner. After that, the sky is the limit, they can build a money machine for their retirement, and buy me out sooner or later, or just continue my percentage.

But I do know how to make a lot of money in this business and at the same time keep employees, subs, and clients 100% satisfied. You should probably start earning close to 20% on every job almost immediately! Once you have just 4 painters working year round, you will be earning 80 -100K. Add the third crew of 2 more painters and your earnings will jump another 40K approximately. And these numbers are AFTER all overhead, wages, and my percentage.
