Job Description:

Insures delivery of clinic services to patients in collaboration with the physician group and in accordance with the hospital's objectives, policies and procedures. Assists the Manager and Director in the development and direction of services rendered by the Eye Institute.

 

Maintains clinic specific standards of practice based on current literature and professional standards of practice. May be delegated responsibilities in the absence of the Manager or Director.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Clinical education and experience in ophthalmology preferred (such as Registered Nurse having experience with eye cases or a technician with specialty eye care background).

 

2. A Bachelor's Degree is required. Some graduate work is preferred.

 

3. A minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a specialty clinic with 3 or more physicians. Demonstrated leadership required. Will supervise technicians and front desk staff.
