Allocator Analyst
Tommy Bahama defines elegant tropical living with men's and women's fashions, denim, swimwear, accessories and a complete home furnishings collection. Tommy Bahama, the purveyor of island lifestyles, is looking for a qualified Allocator Analyst to join our Retail Operations team in our Seattle Corporate Office.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Merchandise Allocator is responsible for distributing the correct levels of Tommy Bahama merchandise to the right stores at the right time. Support stores by keeping them stocked while maintaining profitable inventory levels.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
? Support buyer by developing, analyzing and maintaining store assortment plans based on store attributes, capacity and seasonality. Utilize the store assortment plan to develop purchase and replenishment commitments.
? Participate in selection of product based on opportunities that have been identified and awareness of trends in the market. Work with Buyer to develop and support merchandise mix within each department and store to best convey the ?Tommy Island ?lifestyle.
? Performs pre-season, in-season, and post-season analysis and reviews to uncover opportunities and risks at the store/style level. Develops recommendations for in-season changes and pre-season assortment plans to ensure maximization of objectives.
? Executing initial allocation and replenishment of in season inventory to stores in using the STS allocation and replenishment modules and applying the appropriate system use based on the desired fulfillment need.
? Determine appropriate model stock levels for all replenishable merchandise and adjust levels in accordance to seasonality and demographic trends at the store level.
? Become the store level expert in regards to product needs and opportunities. Responsible for presenting those needs to the Buyer
? Manage item and class level inventory levels. Insure flow of inventory to support sales plans by region and store level. Place orders, adjust orders, monitor order status for on time delivery and proactively identify issues, to achieve goals for sales, margin and turn.
? Plan Markdown and Outlet transfer strategy at the item level, to execute the exit strategy for seasonal goods, monitoring item performance and suggesting markdowns to minimize inventory liability while maximizing gross margin percent.
? Determine, Manage and execute stock balances between stores in a timely and profitable manner. Apply store knowledge based upon attributes, field input, store travel, and historical data to influence and direct distribution decisions. Assort between stores optimizing the different geographic, climate and demographic profiles of our stores.
? Identify and execute all RTV opportunities per our licensee agreements.
? Manage key item programs to maximize sales while providing our vendors a strategic flow plan.
? Setup style information in STS.
? Support stores with special orders from outside vendors.
? Provide all licensees and 3rd party vendors with style/store level sales results.
? Basic administrative duties.
EXPERIENCE, TALENT, and SKILLS:
Bachelor?s Degree preferred and 2-5 years experience in allocations and replenishment required.
Previous experience with allocation and replenishment systems preferred.
Previous experience working with licensee and 3rd party vendors preferred.
Knowledge of Tommy Bahama image and target customers
Good written and verbal communication
Must be detail oriented
Excellent follow-up skills
Computer skills (specifically Word and Excel.)
Strong analytical skills
Well organized, self starter and multi-task oriented
Ability to prioritize tasks in order of importance to meet deadlines
Good decision making abilities
Strong collaborative work style
