Collection Driver

Job Title:  Collection Driver

Pay Scale:  $15.50 ? $18.50 DOE

Hours per week: 35-40

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Operate all vehicles in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, state and federal requirements; maintain a clean and safe vehicle. Work closely with the Shift Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify problem areas or safety concerns.

3.  Report and repair emergency maintenance problems and/or environmental hazards immediately.

4.  Adheree to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.Perform all duties as scheduled by the Dispatcher or Manager and assist other company employees as directed. Notify the Dispatcher or Manager of any service problems, misses or problems that arise on the route. Complete all required service and leave the customers location clean and free of debris. Follow the route sheet continuously throughout the day and complete all documentation assuring it is neat and legible when turned in to dispatch at the end of the shift. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Wear CleanScapes provided uniform Adhere to CleanScapes grooming standards

12.  Assist other route crews as needed.

13.  Report for work rested, healthy, and alert.

Physical Requirements:
 
Ability to maintain balance on slippery and erratically moving surfaces.

Ability to walk 3 miles in one hour, to lift up to 65 pounds, and to crawl, sit, and kneel. 



Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

 Must possess a valid CDL Class A or B and medical card. Must possess a clean driving record and meet all DOT requirements. Drivers Abstract RequiredAbility to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, supervisor and coworkers.Ability to learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service. Basic map reading skills required. A minimum of 21 yrs of age. Ability to work under pressure. Must have 1 year experience driving a Commercial Vehicle A or B. Must have 2 years working in heavy labor.
